This morning I had a window of dry, warm weather so I did my weekly butterfly transect at Mill Hill. When I finished I was able to do some photography before the rain settled in for the rest of the day. I noticed some more of the Common Milkwort plus the delicate white flowers and pink buds of Dropwort. There were plenty of Treble-bar moths. Butterfly count:
Adonis Blue: male 15, female 3
Common Blue: male 3, female 1
Dingy Skipper 1
Small Heath: 16
