Oak Hook-tip & Green, Yellow-barred and Meadow Longhorns

Oak Hook-tip, Watsonalla binaria

On Sunday morning I took Sue to her conference in Surrey. I had researched some nearby Surrey Wildlife Trust reserves and headed off to Blindley Heath where I immediately found a beautiful Oak Hook-tip moth on a nettle leaf. I found many Green longhorn moths flowing around a hawthorn tree. I also found a lone Yellow-barred Longhorn.
Next I visited Hedgecourt Nature Reserve where I found a Red-Eyed Damselfly and mating Green Dock Beetles. A grass snake slithered into the damp grass.
Finally I searched the verge and hedgerow along Brickhouse Lane and found a Meadow Longhorn and Orange-tip, both laying on Garlic Mustard. Plus a tiny Common Cosmet moth.
