Fluted Bird's Nests and Latticed Stinkhorns

Fluted Bird's Nests, Cyathus striatus
Yesterday I visited a friend's garden to photograph the scarce Latticed Stinkhorn that grows there every year. Afterwards I went for a walk in Rewell Wood and was delighted to find Fluted Bird's Nest fungi on a log. This fungus is 8mm across and is one of several species of bird's nest fungi growing on decaying wood.
