Marbled White Spot and adders

Adder, Vipera berus
On Friday I dropped Bea at the Golden Galleon for her friend Marie’s 100th birthday celebration. I then headed to Park Corner Heath hoping for a glimpse of a Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary. In spite of sunshine in the afternoon, the only butterfly I saw was a Large White. There were male and female Common Blue Damselflies in marshy areas. Also Marbled White Spot and Cydia ulicetana moths. Two adders basked side by side on a reptile board.
