Short-eared Owls and Red Kites

Short-eared Owl, Asio flammeus
I have visited The Burgh near Arundel the past two days to see the Short-eared Owls that fly from around 2:30pm. I have also seen Red Kites and Kestrels. A Hen Harrier has been reported recently, plus Peregrines and Sparrow Hawks. Grey Partridges inhabit the fields, and a flock of Linnets flit along the hedgerows.
I have seen the owls along this walk: park at the green triangle at GR TQ04150948, walk north along Peppering Lane, turn right at the fork at TQ04130999, then turn right at TQ04651106 down to the hollow.
Yesterday morning was the last conservation work party of the year at Heyshott. It was a glorious day after a misty morning.
These photos are small crops from distant subjects so are not crisp!

This owl was escorting the Red Kite out of its territory. They circled above me for some time.
