On Wednesday in poor light I visited The Burgh again and met
one other birder. We saw one Short-eared Owl briefly. Yesterday was drizzly so
I decided to hunker down in the hides at Arundel WWT. I managed to get videos of
the Kingfishers landing and taking off at the Ramsar and Sand Martin hides and met Russ in the Scrape hide. The Lapwings gave a good aerial show and at one time
the huge flock of Black-headed Gulls took off and wheeled around the lake in
front of the Sand Martin hide. Water Rails showed well.
