Pied Wagtails and a Corn Bunting

Pied Wagtail, Motacilla alba
Saturday morning was spent at Arundel WWT where Cormorants fished in front of the hide and Lapwings and Black-headed Gulls performed more acrobatics. Then I visited The Burgh where I spotted a Kestrel hovering behind a hedge. It swooped and I was able to watch it tuck into a small mammal which looked like a vole. A flock of Pied Wagtails and a Goldfinch washed in the puddles by the gate at the bottom of the first dip. A Corn Bunting tucked itself into a tree at the second dip and a Short-eared Owl briefly flew and perched on a fence post and a bird feeder. Sunset was a spectacle.
