Sand Martins congregate

Sand Martin, Riparia riparia
On Saturday I visited the Sand Martin hide again, arriving at 9:40am. Terry was already there photographing about 20 Sand Martins lined up on the branch by the wall. Of course they flew off before I could get a shot. They returned at 10:12 and 10:35, roosting on the wall, presumably having a rest from their feeding forays. A Kingfisher landed in front of the hide, but it was in the shade.
Coot, Fulica atra
Kingfisher, Alcedo atthis
what can I say?
Sand Martins, Riparia riparia

Water Mint, Mentha aquatica
