A walk along Ferring Rife


Common Fleabane
In spite of the skies being grey we went for a walk along the Ferring Rife from the Blue Bird Café. We counted seven species of butterflies. I’m sure it would have been more had the rain not sent us scuttling back to the car.

a flock of starlings roosted before it rained
 Yellow Loosestrife

Lesser bulrushes

Other butterflies seen were Large White, Meadow Brown, and Ringlet
