Red-headed Cardinals and Blue-tailed Damselflies

Red-headed Cardinal Beetle, pyrochroa serraticornis
On Saturday we visited Fairmile Bottom for a short walk. I saw several moths: Cinerous Pearls, Violet Cosmets and a Small Purple and Gold. Later outside Arundel WWT I witnessed a female Green-veined White rejecting a male – he was persistent but gave up when she kept her abdomen raised vertically. An Orange Tip passed by. Blue and red forms of the Crucifer Shield Bug were abundant. I saw another Comfrey Ermel moth and two Red-headed Cardinal Beetles. Male and female Blue-tailed Damselflies fluttered around.
