Mute Swan cygnets, Cygnus olor |
On Wednesday I
visited Arundel WWT with Sue and added to the micro fauna I saw the previous
day. Highlights inside the centre were Canada and Greylag goslings, Mute Swan cygnets, and
Swallows building a nest in the Scrape Hide. Sue and Terry were sitting on a bench while I was busy with micro fauna when they spotted a Weasel trotting along the main path near the pond by the Scrape hide.
Highlights outside the centre were a mating pair of Comfrey Ermel moths and a Meadow Longhorn moth, Adela rufimitrella and both Black-headed and Red-headed Cardinal Beetles.
