Turnstones feeding at low tide

Turnstone, Arenaria interpres
Yesterday was a dull day, and as the tide was out in the afternoon I strolled down to the seashore for an hour and photographed a group of four Turnstones which were busy feeding on the mussel beds. They are obliging birds, allowing you quite close, unlike the Oyster Catchers which are very skittish.
