Urban wildlife in Sheffield

Heron fishing in Endcliffe Park
We have been pet sitting while Nute and Ken attended the Crime Writers Association annual conference in Darlington. There is plenty of wildlife both in their garden and in Endcliffe Park where I walked Ollie twice a day. The rats sadly may be gone as the rat catcher confirmed this morning that poison had been eaten. Today is the first day that I have not seen Mr & Mrs Ratty or the mouse.

We visited aunt Bea in her lovely new bungalow at Romiley on Saturday. We had lunch at the Hare and Hounds nearby which has incredible views. Youngs was the guest bitter, and old London favourite of mine. We all had fish, chips and peas.
