West Wittering and Pagham Harbour birds

Little Egret, Egretta garzetta
On Saturday I called into Arundel WWT and found the lakes iced over with a few open areas where the Kingfishers could feed. One of these areas was to the right of the Ramsar hide and a Kingfisher obligingly posed there.

On Sunday I visited West Wittering car park again where the Brent Geese were busy grazing. I spotted a Grey Plover among the Redshanks, a pair of Ringed Plovers, some Meadow Pipits, Oystercatchers and Curlews.  On the way home I stopped at the RSPB car park at Pagham Harbour. A large flock of Black-tailed Godwits flew in plus some Wigeon. A couple of Little Egrets fed in the channels and Curlews lurked in the grass.
