Bewick’s Swans and Water Rails

Canada Geese, Branta canadensis
This morning I decided to visit the Bewick’s Swans on the River Arun. Unfortunately they were on the other side of the river and only visible from the hillside opposite. There were around 20, plus some Greylag Geese. Afterwards I walked round Arundel WWT and used the hides to dodge downpours which were interspersed with blue skies. A Kingfisher flew past once and several Water Rails showed themselves.
