Mill Hill

Cowslips, Primula veris
On Monday I completed my weekly butterfly transect at Mill Hill and recorded Peacocks, Small Tortoiseshells, a Red Admiral and a micro moth Pyrausta despicata. A Buzzard and a Kestrel soared overhead. The Kestrel landed a few times but missed its prey.  I also spotted a silver Adder and 7-spot Ladybird. There are isolated patches of Cowslips at the bottom of the hill.
