Common Purple and Gold, Pyrausta purpuralis |
On July 30 I visited Kithurst meadow and saw plenty of moths including Red-fringed Conch and Ash-coloured Sober.
Last night by the garage I found a dead Brown-tail moth and by the balcony light I found several moths and a Harlequin Ladybird devouring the many midges. moths: Blastobasis vittata, Common Plume, Elbow-stripe Grass veneer, Ox-tongue Conch, Small Purple and Gold aka Mint Moth. I have only seen the Mint Moth on grassland previously.
