Yellowhammers and wildfowl

Yellowhammer, Emberiza citrinella
On Saturday morning I headed up to The Burgh and spotted two Short-eared Owls hunting at 10:50am. Other birds seen – Partridges, Chaffinches, Corn Buntings, Dunnocks, House Sparrows, Lapwings, Skylarks, Song Thrushes, Stonechats, Pheasants and Yellow Hammers.

On Sunday morning I joined the Sussex Search and Rescue team to act as marshals at the Brighton Half Marathon. This afternoon I visited Arundel WWT.
