Fieldfares, a Coal tit and a Peregrine

Starling, Sturnus vulgaris
Yesterday we met Linda at Pulborough Brooks and enjoyed a short walk followed by an excellent lunch. Two Fieldfares came reasonably close and a Jay flew off. The feeders by the restaurant attracted a Coal Tit, Reed Buntings and a Great Spotted Woodpecker which fed on the far side of the feeder. A Peregrine dived into the area, but was seen beforehand by the white doves and other birds which scattered before it arrived. Afterwards we enjoyed coffee at Linda's and watched her Starlings devour mealworms on the feeder.  A Collared Dove perched high up.
