Great Grey Shrike and Jack Snipe

Great Grey Shrike, Lanius excubitor
I made another trip to Iping Common today and met Butterfly Conservation volunteer Garry who was also searching for the Great Grey Shrike. He spotted it and we followed it around as it toured its territory. Long-tailed Tits and Goldcrests moved around the Birches and gorse bushes together. I was fortunate to see a Green Woodpecker fly along the ridge and disturbed a Jack Snipe.
