Yesterday our Sussex Historical Search Society attended the Grinstead & District Ploughing & Agricultural Society Ploughing Match held at Clothalls Farm. We set up the stand and were ready for visitors by 10am. The event was very well attended and had many interesting events including livestock competitions and a ploughing match. We had plenty of interest in our exhibition and were pleased with the response to our request for new land to detect on. The show finished at 4:30pm, and we quickly packed everything up and headed home after a long day. The weather was excellent, not too hot. I bought honey from the Bee Keepers Association stand and excellent pasties from our neighbour the Warnham butcher.
