Clapham Woods and Angmering Estate

Bea arrived from Eastbourne and after lunch we all set off to complete two more tetrads of our local butterfly survey. This took us to Clapham Woods and Angmering Estate. We saw Speckled Woods, Small Whites and 3 Red Admirals on a buddleia. An unexpected treat was a field of sunflowers on the Angmering Estate

Church of St Mary the Virgin, Clapham. The tower dates from the 12th century.
