A Kingfisher entertains the crowds

Kingfisher, Alcedo atthis
Sunday was another fine day which started with a metal detecting club dig where I found a 1948 halfpenny and a beetle larva. I then headed to Arundel WWT where a large number of photographers were gathered by the boating area where the male Kingfisher was performing again. The large shoal of fish reported by a reserve guide the previous day was obviously still in the shallows by the huts and the Kingfisher plunged in frequently.
