Kithurst Red Admirals and Chantry Small Tortoiseshell

Comma on Devil's-bit Scabius
Philip and Seppi arrived from Germany on Thursday afternoon so we caught up on family news and Sue served a delicious Waitrose Thai curry from our new supermarket. On Friday I took them on tour of some of my favourite butterfly sites with magnificent views. First stop was Chantry Hill where we found a Small Tortoiseshell. Unfortunately it was worn, but it was still good to see it as I haven't seen many this year. There were also some Commas.

We then visited Kithurst Hill where we caught up with Mark. The Red Admirals were performing again on the bank of Hemp-agrimony, including some pristine individuals.
