Marsh Tits, Red-belted Bracket & hibernating lizards

Marsh Tit ♀ , Poecile palustris
On March 17th I joined Peter at Jamie Burston's butterfly project at Roedale Valley Allotments, Brighton. We shifted a large quantity of soil to expose the chalk ready for other volunteers to plant chalk loving butterfly food plants two days later. Afterwards Jamie showed me a White-letter Hairstreak egg on the branch of an elm.
On March 19th I was able to locate a Red-belted Bracket in Binsted Wood, thanks to Andrew & Natasha who had found it a few days before.
I have returned to Rewell Wood several times to try to get better shots of the pair of Marsh Tits. On 22nd they came down to the path, together with a Nuthatch.
On 23rd I attended a biological mapping workshop in Midhurst, then visited Iping and Stedham Commons where I found about 12 Common Lizards hibernating under one log, and a single one under another.
