Heyshott & Ambersham Commons

Gorse, Ulex europaeus
On February 23rd I joined Paul Steven's work party at Heyshott Common where many volunteers cleared plenty of birch and conifer to benefit the reptiles that inhabit the common. Afterwards I wandered round the woods of the adjacent Ambersham Common and found a variety of arthropods and fungi.
