Widewater mergansers and Woods Mill fungi

Red-breasted Merganser ♂, Mergus serrator
On January 12th I visited Widewater and found a pair of Red-breasted Mergansers and a hovering Kestrel. Then I walked round Woods Mill reserve and found plenty of fungi: Sulphur Tuft, Inkcap, Beech Jellydisc, Birch Polypore, Blushing Bracket, Hairy Curtain Crust, King Alfred's Cake, Silverleaf Fungus plus a Slime Mould.
