| Herring Gull, Larus argentatus |
On November 22 I visited the beach and found Oystercatchers, Turnstones, Sanderlngs and Black-headed Gulls. I spent a couple of fruitless days at Southwick canal looking for the Great Northern Diver which was reported at Weir Wood reservoir yesterday.
On the way home I called in at Widewater where there was a flock of Teal, a Redshank and a Herring Gull surveying the food prospects from the roof of a car.
