Bee Flies, a Minotaur and a Slow-worm

Dark-edged Bee-fly, Bombylius major
On Friday I checked Rewell Wood and Houghton Forest with Mark. We enjoyed listening to a Firecrest, and saw Peacocks and a Small Tortoiseshell. At Kithurst Meadow Dark-edged Bee-flies were nectaring on primroses and cowslips.
