Woodland Pearls

Pearl-bordered Fritillary, Boloria euphrosyne
This morning there were some blue patches in the clouds over the channel which gradually made their way inland so I headed for Rewell Wood to look for Pearl-bordered Fritillaries. Mark joined me and we found a couple on a ride, plus an Orange-tip and a Speckled Wood. We then found plenty at our previous site and the mix of cloud and sun enabled us to see them in flight, and they landed for photos and stayed still when the cloud came over.
