Chalkhill Blue at Mill Hill

male Chalkhill Blue
Yesterday morning was sunny, a good butterfly day I thought so I went to Mill Hill to do my weekly butterfly transect. I was delighted to see my first Chalkhill Blue of the season. There was only one but he was in superb condition. Other sightings were Brimstone 2, Gatekeeper 4, Marbled White 3, Meadow Brown 8, Peacock 2, Red Admiral 4, and assorted Whites.
