The week started with a trip to Clymping beach, then on Wednesday I spent the afternoon at Pagham Harbour. It was wonderful to hear curlews warbling and I saw three feeding on the mud banks. Then I saw and heard a vast flock of Brent Geese in the distance. They then landed in their thousands in a creek right in front of me.

On Wednesday evening we headed to Horsham for a Barbara Dickson concert. We saw her at Chichester a few years ago and she was as good as ever. She is on a nationwide tour Feb/March. Naturally she played quite a few songs form her new album, Words Unspoken, plus old favourites like Easy Terms from Blood Brothers and Caravan Song. We saw Kiki Dee in Blood Brothers at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield in 1988, another great singer.
