Littlehampton moths 14 August 2025

14 August (Littlehampton) 30 moth species: Beet Moth, Bright-line Brown-eye, Brimstone Moth 3, Brown House Moth, Buff Ermine, Common Grass-veneer 2, Common Wainscot 6, Dark Ash Bud, Dingy Dowd, Double-striped Pug 2, Heart & Dart 2, Jersey Tiger, Lime-speck Pug, Marbled Beauty 2, Ox-tongue Conch, Pale Mottled Willow 2, Poplar Hawk-moth, Rush Veneer 10, Rusty Dot Pearl 2, Scarce Bordered Straw 2, Setaceous Hebrew Character 4, Shuttle-shaped Dart 11, Small Marbled, Square-spot Rustic, Turnip Moth 2, Vine's Rustic 14, White-point, Willow Stilt, Yellow Underwing, Noctua janthina or janthe. plus a Tarnished Plant Bug (Lygus rugulipennis).

the Small Marbled is a scarce immigrant and the Willow Stilt and Beet Moth are firsts for the balcony.
