Silver-studded Blues at Iping Common

Silver-studded Blue female, Plebejus argus
Yesterday I visited Stedham and Iping Commons and saw 29 Silver-studded Blues, including 4 females, mostly on Iping Common. This looks good for my BC conducted walk on Saturday 29th. I also saw Meadow Browns, a Brimstone and a Green Hairstreak. Moths seen: Common Heath, Clouded Buffs, Brown Silver-line, Common Wave, a tiny Coleophora species and a 6mm long unidentified Tortrix moth. Other insects included Orange Ladybird, Dusky Cockroach, Meadow Plant Bug, Birch Shieldbug. A stonechat sang lustily on Stedham Common.
