Marbled Conch, Garden Midget and Poplar Bent-wing

Marbled Conch, Eupoecilia angustana
On September 6th I met Mark at Kithurst meadow. It was very hot and humid and I saw a male and a few female Common Blues, Red Admirals, Small Whites, Speckled Woods, Brimstones, Brown Argus and a Small Tortoiseshell. I found a new micro moth, the Marbled Conch plus Rusty Dot Pearl, Common Grass-veneer and Common Nettle-tap and many Silver Ys.
In the evening I was pleased to find two new micro moths near the outside lights: Poplar Bent-wing and Garden Midget. Both were tiny, less than 5mm long and could only be seen by a silvery glint from the wings. I have previously found the leaf mine of the Poplar Bent-wing on Black Poplar at Arundel WWT. I also saw Marsh Grey, Yellow-backed Clothes moth and Elbow-stripe Grass-veneer.
