On Boxing Day I enjoyed the last of the good weather at
Arundel WWT. An Australian Shelduck was visible for a short time on the island
to the left of the Sand Martin hide. Water levels were very high and part of the
reserve was closed, and likely to remain so for some time as more heavy rain
falls. A Kingfisher was busy fishing around the boating area of the reserve. On Sunday I visited briefly and believe I saw a mink run across the path near the Sand Martin hide, which I reported to staff.
