Mystery at Cissbury

On Tuesday we enjoyed a wander round Cissbury Ring. Not a butterfly was sighted on this misty and mysterious afternoon. Plenty of fungi, especially Parasol mushrooms.

Ragwort
Kestrel
Western Conifer Seed Bug, Leptoglossus occidentalis

This bug was on our window. Thanks to Mark Colvin for the id. It was first reported in the UK in 2007. It arrived in Italy in 1999 from its native North America where is does considerable damage to conifer seed nurseries. It then spread rapidly west and over the channel.
