Cissbury Ring

sunrise last Sunday
Yesterday afternoon I paid a visit to Cissbury Ring. The sun was shining and a strong cold wind was blowing at the car park on the western side when I met Mark who was just finishing a walk. I took a path round the northern perimeter of the hill, a new journey for me. On the way round I found the best blackberry crop I have seen this year, large and flavoursome unlike most of the berries I have sampled during the past month. I was interrupted by a rain shower, but by the time I reached the Ring the sky was blue again so I completed a circuit but only found a few Meadow Browns.
