Common Blues, stinkhorns and other fungi

Common Blue ♀, Polyommatus icarus
I conducted my last butterfly transect at Mill Hill on September 25th and met Dave Cook who pointed out a lovely female Common Blue.
Last week I met Mark at Pulborough Brooks for a fungi hunt. We found plenty of Stinkhorns at the wooded area where they have been seen in previous years but this year there were plenty, including an immaculate specimen.
