Downy Emerald teneral ♀, Cordulia aenea |
On May 3rd I did my Mill Hill butterfly transect (Dingy Skipper 2, Grizzled Skipper 1, Peacock 6) and then visited Woods Mill nature reserve where I found a newly emerged female Downy Emerald dragonfly.
On May 4th we had our lunch at Woods Mill overlooking the lake and we saw a male Orange-tip and a Green-veined White. In the afternoon I visited Rewell Wood and found a new moth, Pale Feathered Bright (Incurvaria pectinea) and the first Pearl-bordered Fritillary of the season at Rewell.
