Digging in the rain at Ashurst

The rain was torrential around 6am so I decided it was not worth going out on the dig today. However it cleared up around 7am so I tipped out of bed and headed off. The turf was easy to dig, but not many hits. I found a very worn and corroded 1880's Victorian penny and a brass ring for two hours work. Everyone departed around midday as the heavy rain had set in again. The sea this afternoon was awesome and windsurfers were enjoying the blast. This sunrise was taken Thursday over the Rusty Hulk. Must finish packing for the Maldives dive trip, departing Tuesday.
