| Hummingbird Hawk Moth |
A visit to Cissbury Ring yielded some interesting sights. Dark Green Fritillaries were everywhere on the top but gave few chances to photograph them. I found a few nectaring. Then a Small Skipper perched on a ragwort flower and a hungry Crab Spider tickled it. A Stonechat perched on the top of various bushes accompanied by a female. Then I spotted a Hummingbird Hawk Moth. The last time I saw one was in 1983 in Dhahran. This was a challenging moth to photograph, but I managed to get a few shots at 1/2000 and 1/4000 second.
